Matt is a senior multifamily investment professional focused on developing innovative investment strategies. As Vice President of Acquisitions at CAF Funds, Matt has executed on over $2B in acquisitions. He created CAF's Housing + Impact Platform, which has scaled across 5,000+ units with institutional partners including Goldman Sachs, Kayne Anderson, and L+M Development.
Previously, Matt was with Streetlights Residential (SLR) where he launched their acquisitions strategy and secured institutional LP equity partners for expansion into key markets across CA, NV, AZ, and TX. While at SLR, he directed lifecycle management of a $500M portfolio from land acquisition through development, lease-up, and disposition.
Prior to joining Streetlights, Matt held the position of Senior Manager at Aragon Holdings, a real estate private equity group based in Los Angeles, CA. He sourced and executed $460M in multifamily transactions, while asset managing a $320M portfolio of 9 properties totaling over 3,300 units.
Matt graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Business Administration. He is a member of The Real Estate Council (TREC), a graduate of the TREC Associate Leadership Council, and serves on the TREC Community Investors Board of Directors. His innovative approach has earned multiple recognitions, including Dallas Business Journal’s 40 Under 40, Innovation Award Finalist (Dallas Innovates), Emerging Real Estate Leader Finalist (D CEO), Community Impact Award Finalist (D CEO), and Freddie Mac's Impact Sponsor designation.
